Many schemes have been started by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Haryana, which are described as follows:

Teerth Darshan Scheme

  • The Tourism Department of Haryana launched this scheme on Ist April, 2017, under which senior citizens above 60 years of Haryana Domicile go on a journey of the country at government expense.
  • Under this scheme, the State Government will bear 70% of the cost but the government will bear the entire cost of the journey of senior citizens who belong from below poverty line families, More than 400 destinations can be visited under this scheme.
  • Vidhur Pension Yojana

  • This scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of Haryana in the Financial Budget 2017 - 18 for widowers.
  • This scheme provides pension to those widowers who have lost their wives for any reason.
  • Under this scheme, the State Government will provide a monthly pension of Rs. 1600 to a widower.
  • By implementing this scheme, Haryana has become the first state in India to launch such type of scheme for men.
